BACKGROUND
Government of Gujarat with support of Novo Nordisk Education Foundation organised a proactive initiative to ACT against diabetes which kicked off with a Changing Diabetes® State Round Table Meet-Gujarat at Ahmedabad on 30 July 2015.

The state round table was aimed at getting critical inputs to create a road map for success to change diabetes in India. At the state roundtable more than 39 policy-makers, government officials, healthcare professionals, people with diabetes, WHO, academia, JHPIEGO, Public Health Institutes, and others gathered to discuss the current scenario of diabetes in the state and what steps need to be taken to reduce this critical burden and address the issue of diabetes care and management in Gujarat.
