Government of Odisha with support of Novo Nordisk Education Foundation organised a proactive initiative to ACT against diabetes which kicked off with a Changing Diabetes® State Round Table Meet on 17 October 2015.

Novo Nordisk Education Foundation has been organising Changing Diabetes® State Roundtables across various states in India including Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Puducherry. The fifth roundtable was organised in Bhubaneswar with Department of Health and Family Welfare, Odisha Government. Inaugurated by the principal secretary health Mrs. Arti Ahuja, the roundtable saw participation from around 32 key stake holders including policy-makers, government officials, healthcare professionals, people with diabetes, WHO, academia, JHPIEGO and Public Health Institutes.
A special educational scholarship of INR 10,000/- from Novo Nordisk Education Foundation was awarded to four meritorious children from economically underprivileged families (part of the CDiC programme) by the Principal Secretary, Health and Family Welfare Odisha.
