In 2018, we took a pledge to reduce HbA1c by 1% over the next 1000 days under the program - IMPACT India: A 1000 day challenge. To take it one step further on WDD’19, we curated a campaign under the theme – ‘It’s time to ImpACT India’, a multi-pronged approach to create awareness on diabetes across key stakeholders – doctors and the society.
To create awareness on the importance of healthy diet and regular exercise, we conducted Pedals Changing Diabetes, a 10k cyclathon in Bangalore in partnership with The Times of India. We also saw participation from some key personalities such as Bangalore Police Commissioner, Danish ambassador and Shri Anil Kumble, Former Indian cricketer.
Furthermore, we also conducted a 5k cyclathon in Goa under the aegis of Department of Health Services, Goa with flag off by Health Minister Sh Vishwajit Rane.
